I knew Heather many years ago, and I always knew she was a warm, caring person and loving mothers to her daughters. I had left Edinburgh by the time she was involved in helping people with addiction problems, but I know she did a huge amount of good for so many people. Jim Smith

Doesn’t feel like six weeks since we last saw you Mum. Zoe,Sarah and I have been looking after your plants and your Summer House,honest. The kids are missing you loads but you would be proud of them. We’re all going away for a few days next month as the lockdown easies and we’re all sad you can’t be here to come too. Love you and we’re all missing you so much love Tora x

Heather, it still feels unreal that you have gone and the world is not the same without you. Perhaps someday, when the real history of how Edinburgh responded to drug misuse is told, your achievements shall shine clear and bright for all to see. It was good to have worked with you and I am grateful for having known you.
